Santa Maria Novella Church
Piazza Santa Maria Novella
The Church of Santa Maria Novella is an architecturally important building, and a fine example of a Gothic church. The exterior was designed by Jacopo Talenti, while the interior is home to an impressive collection of art, including Masaccio’s Trinta, Giotti’s Crucifix and a fresco by Ghirlandaio. The interior is thought to be based on an original design by Brunelleschi.
