Piazza dei Signori
A group of five monuments make up the Scaliger tombs in Verona. The monuments celebrate the lives of the Scaliger family, who ruled the city from the 13th to 14th century. The Gothic style tombs make the shape of a small temple and are enclosed with a wrought iron gate. Buried here are Cangrande I, Mastino II, Cansignorio, Aberto II and Giovanni Scaliger.
